Trip Itinerary:
Day 1: NJP/Bagdogra – Gangtok (120 km / 4.5 hrs)
Arrive and transfer to Gangtok, the lively capital. Evening leisure at MG Marg.
Day 2: Gangtok City Tour
Visit Rumtek Monastery, Enchey Monastery, Institute of Tibetology, Flower Exhibition Centre, and Tashi Viewpoint.
Day 3: Tsomgo Lake – Nathula Pass Excursion (55 km one way)
Full-day trip to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) and Baba Mandir. Optional visit to Nathula Pass (14,140 ft) on the Indo-China border (permit required).
Day 4: Gangtok – Lachung (120 km / 6 hrs)
Scenic drive along the Teesta River. Overnight stay in the mountain village of Lachung.
Day 5: Yumthang Valley – Gangtok
Morning visit to Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft), the “Valley of Flowers.” In winter, see snow-carpeted meadows. Optional Zero Point trip (15,300 ft). Return to Gangtok.
Day 6: Gangtok – Pelling (116 km / 5 hrs)
Drive to Pelling via Ravangla. Visit Buddha Park at Ravangla and enjoy the quiet hill-town atmosphere.
Day 7: Pelling Sightseeing
Explore Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, Khecheopalri Lake, Skywalk at Sanga Choeling Monastery, and Kanchenjunga Falls.
Day 8: Pelling – NJP/Bagdogra (140 km / 5.5 hrs)
Drive back for onward journey.
